What is hypnosis useful for?
Milton H. Erickson, M.D., founder of the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis, states: "those things that are easiest to see are most often overlooked."
A hypnotist is a guide. This guide can bring a patient to a relaxed state of awareness and use the power of suggestion to help patients promote change and improve their lives. While in this relaxed state, hypnosis can also help patients to uncover the deep-seated habitual forces driving their everyday lives: their motives, ambitions, fears, and repressed memories. As the things that are overlooked become apparent, it becomes easier for me to develop a plan to successfully garner new habits.
